COSEC and the Monetary Authority of Macao Sign Cooperation Protocol

Macau, October 19, 2017 - On October 19, 2017, COSEC, Companhia de Seguro de Créditos, S.A. and the Macao Monetary Authority signed a cooperation agreement to facilitate trade and investment between both countries, as well as in Portuguese-speaking countries.

AMCM Chairman, Benjamin Chan, and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of COSEC, Maria Celeste Hagatong, signed the agreement on behalf of their institutions, in the presence of Portugal’s Secretary of Internationalization, Eurico Brilhante Dias and Macao’s Secretary of Economy and Finance, Leong Vai Tac; both Chairs expressed their views on the cooperation plan. In the future, both entities plan to initiate cooperation on insurance related to export trade and investment activities, supporting risk management and providing protection to companies and financial institutions from Macao to develop commercial export and investment activities.
